Max Axelrod 21, of Barrington, won a gold medal at the US International Kuo Shu (Kung Fu) Championship Tournament just held in Hunt Valley, MD, July 29-31.
Max competed in the full contact Lei Tai fighting competition using Sanshou (free fighting) techniques derived from Kung Fu. He trains in East Providence at San Shou Martial Arts under Head Instructor Ariel Tyre Wesley.
Max is a senior at Roger Williams University majoring in international business.[divider_flat]
