BJJ is a self-defense martial art and combat sport based on grappling, ground fighting and submission holds. You will learn the skill of taking an opponent to the ground, controlling one’s opponent, gaining a dominant position, and using a number of techniques to force them into submission via joint locks or chokeholds. It is an excellent self-defense martial art but also plays a very big role in modern day MMA.

Benefits of BJJ include: discipline, focus, self-confidence, weight loss, problem solving, body dexterity and movement and learning to overcome opponents larger than yourself.
