COMBINE YOUR COMBAT ABILITIES IN MIXED MARTIAL ARTS (MMA)
BECOME THE CHAMPION YOU WANT TO BE.
Our MMA program combines the best of striking, wrestling and ground-fighting to shape our students into phenomenal fighters.
GENERAL INFORMATION
WHAT IS MMA?
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a combat sport that mixes various martial arts, including striking and grappling. It includes practices like boxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and wrestling, enabling athletes to use a wide range of skills.
Unlike traditional martial arts, MMA focuses on competition in a ring, with fighters participating in full-contact matches. The rules of MMA promote adaptability and strategy, requiring skills in both standing and ground fighting. This diverse approach makes MMA an exciting sport and enhances understanding of how different martial arts techniques work together in real situations.
WHY SHOULD I LEARN MMA?
Great for Competition or Self-Defense
Whether students want to compete or just learn self-defense, our MMA classes bring together aspects of kickboxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiujitsu and Catch Wrestling to help them reach their goals. Within a supportive environment full of aspiring martial artists, our students are able to learn from each other and build each other up for success.
Boosted Confidence & Physical Health
Since MMA combines so many different styles and techniques, students are continuously building mental coordination and physical strength to excel in fighting on the ground, toe-to-toe, and in-close contexts such as clinching and grappling.
Opportunities for Competition
The organized practice and competitions in local leagues allow you to test your skills, build community, and motivate yourself to improve. Overall, learning MMA promotes personal growth and empowerment, not just fighting.

All students need the following items:
Kickboxing/Muay Thai shinguards
MMA gloves (standard gloves or hybrid sparring gloves)
Students will not be allowed to spar unless they have…
Mouth guard
Cage helmet
Jock cup
-
Nope! T-shirts, tank-tops and shorts are fine. Rashguards and leggings are recommended for cold weather.
-
No one has to spar if they don't feel comfortable! Typically, we require any new students to come to class consistently for at least 6 months before they're allowed to spar. Even then, it will always be up to their comfort level.
The only exceptions to this are…
Students have had prior kickboxing and/or sparring experience.
Both the student and instructor agree that the student is ready to spar.
If you have any other questions or concerns about sparring, please talk with your instructor.
-
Unless a new student has had previous martial arts training, we require any new students to have trained with us for at least a year—including sparring in class—before signing them up for competitions or tournaments. Aside from coming to class, students who want to compete will be assessed based on their level of technique and fundamentals.
Competitive fighting of any sort is highly risky to anyone's health, and should be considered with the utmost care. While we applaud and support anyone who wants to compete in local fights or martial arts tournaments, we put a priority on safety before anything else.
For anyone to be eligible for competitions, they must meet the following requirements:
Must be no younger than 16 years of age.
Must have proof of health insurance (either parent/guardian's or own policy)
Must have their own gear and equipment that is up to the organization's standards
